Prevention of VTE in adults prior to knee replacement surgery or hip bone
xarelto CONTRA INDICATIONS
active bleeding, liver disease associated with coagulopathy, pregnant and lactating
xarelto ATTENTION
Risk of bleeding, such as congenital bleeding disorders; HTN uncontrolled severe arterial; active gastrointestinal ulcer disease; gastrointestinal ulcer disease being experienced; vascular retinopathy; intra-cranial bleeding and intra-cerebral; intra vascular abnormalities or intra cerebral spinal; brain surgery, spinal or eyes. A broken pelvic bone surgery, etc. May impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. Children and adolescents aged <18 years.
xarelto SIDE EFFECTS
Increased GGT, increase in transaminases (ALT and AST); nausea; bleeding after the procedure (including postoperative anemia); fever; peripheral edema
xarelto INDEX SECURITY IN PREGNANT WOMEN
C: Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus (teratogenic or embriosidal or other) and there are no controlled studies in women or studies in women and animals are not yet available. Drugs should be given only if the potential gains justify the potential hazards to the fetus.

xarelto DOSE
Prevention of VTE in adults who underwent surgery for hip or knee replacement bone: 10 mg once daily. The initial dose should be given 6-10 hours after surgery as long as hemostatic conditions have been established. Duration of therapy: major pelvic surgery five weeks, major knee surgery two weeks.
Reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with atrial fibrillation nonvalvular: 20 mg once daily, which is also the maximum recommended dose.
Handling DVT where the duration of therapy depends on the cause of disease: initial dose of 15 mg 2 times a day for the first 3 weeks and then 20 mg once daily.
